  • Saturday 20 January at 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm: The Universal Within the Local - The Loneliness of the Long Distance Poet - a cultural event to celebrate Romania’s national poet, Mihai Eminescu.   • Friday, 2 February at 5.30 pm:  Sunset Memorial  - poetry, readings, songs and music celebrating the enduring spirits of Irish-Australian female immigrants - includes a poetry reading by Anne Casey. Presented in partnership with the Government of Ireland, Waverley Borough Council, the Consulate General of Ireland and the Irish Support Agency. Venue: Irish 1798 Memorial, Waverley Cemetery, Sydney, Australia. No booking required; this event is free to attend.   • Wednesday, 21 February at 11.00 am to 12.00 pm: ​International Mother Language Day Panel  - hosted by Dr Elaine Laforteza, Centre for Social Justice Inclusion, Multicultural Women's Network, University of Technology Sydney - featuring a panel discussion with participants including Anne Casey who will do a bilingual poetry reading in Irish and English.
